Ah, coconut milk. Delicious, tasty, tropical and dairy free. A few weeks ago, Nic and I went grocery shopping and I decided to pick up So Delicious Dairy Free Coconut Milk. Being lactose intolerant, the fact that it’s dairy free is one of the best parts of coconut milk for me. I’ve had coconut milk a few times in the past, but I never realized the many benefits it holds.
Skin & Hair
Doing some reading on LIVESTRONG, I learned that the nutrients and fatty acids in coconut milk help with your skin and hair. It helps get rid of dandruff, skin infections and itchy skin. Also, if that wasn’t good enough, it also helps you moisturize your skin. COOL!
Another benefit of coconut milk is that it’s a great ingredient for cooking! There are a number of recipes I am excited to try that all involve coconut milk. One of recipes is a cilantro-lime coconut rice by Little Broken! This recipe sounds DELICIOUS and something I will be trying ASAP. Another recipe I am planning on trying are some delicious coconut pancakes by She Wears Many Hats! Nic and are always looking for tasty breakfasts to start off our day. YUM!
Also, it is delicious in coffee. It’s a perfect kick for your cup of joe.
Ok, let’s be honest. I also love coconut milk because when I drink it and close my eyes it *almost* feels like I am sitting on the beach listening to the sound of waves. So that’s huge benefit right there.
Do you like coconut milk? What do you use it for? I’d love to know!
