Easy DIY Holiday Centerpiece

I absolutely love my new holiday centerpiece. You know what else I love? How easy it was to make! It was easy, fun and gets you into the holiday spirit. There are only three things you will need to create your own!

1. Vase

If you have an old vase you haven’t been using, this is the perfect time to use it! Or, you can go to a thrift shop and get one. I got mine for $3! Pretty good deal, huh? Clean it out and get it ready for your ornaments and lights.

2. String Lights

Next, grab some string lights. I got mine at TJ Maxx. I used Starlight Candlelight Glow lights which are LED and they really are perfect for this project. They are great and easy to turn on and off. Start by placing the strings lights at the bottom of your vase and begin placing one ornament at a time into the vase around the lights.

Make sure the on and off switch box goes at the top of your vase tucked to the side, or you won’t be able to turn it on and off! It’s an easy mistake to make. 🙂

3. Ornaments

Any ornaments will work! We went with the gold theme this year for our tree, so I used the extra ornaments for the centerpiece. I used about 14 total, but it will vary based on the size of your vase and ornaments. After placing the ornaments in one at a time, make sure the lights zigzag through them.

These three easy steps will help you create your holidays centerpiece! Whether it’s for a party, dinner or for your coffee table, it’s a beautiful and easy piece to make.
