Snowy Days And Simplicity

We have gotten a lot of snow these last few days, and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t absolutely beautiful. Driving is terrible, it’s cold, it’s windy and the air makes my ears numb, but I still love it. The freshly fallen snow makes me feel like a kid again.

Today, Nic and I bundled up in our coats and ventured outside! We took our camera, walked on the path near the (chilly) lake and took photos. I have to say, I love that Nic and I always enjoy the little things, like snowy days. We make the most out of our days and that is just one of the things I love about my days with him.

Our walk along the lake was crisp and pretty. The trees had a fresh coat of snow on each little branch and there were families sledding down little hills in the park. We were debating going sledding, but we didn’t have a sled OR snow pants. These are two very important things if you want to go sledding – noted for our next walk in the park.

Yesterday, we also got all of our Christmas cards stamped, sealed and mailed out. It was our fist year  sending out Christmas cards, and I LOVE how they turned out! Shutterfly was a great way to go, BUT we need to order more for next year.

These last snowy days have been the definition of cozy. Sitting by our tree and watching the snowflakes gently fall from the sky make me realize why we love living where we do, and why we love spending our days together. It also makes me realize that the little things aren’t really that little after all.

*Also, if anyone is looking for a good holiday read, The Mistletoe Secret by Richard Paul Evans is everything I look for in a romantic, holiday novel.

DON’T FORGET, you can be featured in my future blog! Read 12 Acts Of Kindness and Holiday Cheer for more details!

Questions for you:

What are you reading this holiday season?

What site do you go through to make Christmas cards?
