10 Winter Fashion Ideas

Exciting news! As my blog grows, I’ve decided to add a series called Fashion Favorites to Casually Christiana. This is the first of many fashion favorites of mine!

This winter has been so different from others. It’s not nearly as cold as past winters, and some days it even feels like spring. Everyday, I’ve been searching my closet for the right thing to wear, so I figured I would put together a post showing you some of my favorite picks this winter (for both cold and not so cold days).

1. Ampersand Avenue DoubleHood Sweatshirt

These are a must for winter. Whenever Nic and I stay in on winter nights or even when I’m working on things around the house, I love a comfortable sweatshirt that’s also stylish. This particular style is one of my favorites because you can also wear it when you go out.

2. BDG Waffle-Knit Turtleneck Sweater

I LOVE comfortable sweaters. Seriously, these are the best. I have never been disappointed with Urban Outfitters and I  love this sweater because it’s oversized, chic and has a cute texture.

3. Free People Pink Dust Slouch Cardi

Since we’re on the comfortable and cozy pattern, this sweater is just that. This is the perfect choice for those winter days when you don’t know what to wear but you know you want to be warm and stylish.

4. Nordstrom Hunter Original High Gloss Boot

My Hunter Boots have not only come in handy in winter, but also in summer. When the sidewalks are slushy and wet, my hunter boots come to the rescue. When it’s raining and the water is splashing from the roads, hunter boots are there to help! The best part? They are super cute and match with almost any outfit. Cute AND practical, I love that.

5. Sorel Winter Fancy Lace-Up II Boot

Sorel is an amazing brand that I am so impressed with. I invested in boots from them and am so happy with that decision. These are great if you don’t wear your Hunters, because they are also waterproof and are insulated. A winter MUST (especially when it actually starts to snow).

6. Urban Outfitters Marled Boot Sock

I don’t know about you, but I’m all about cozy socks. I wear them everyday and my feet are always toasty warm. These are warm and look cute when they peak from the top of your boots.

7. Nordstrom Patagonia ‘Re-Tool’ Snap Pullover

I can’t even count the amount of times I have worn my Patagonia pullover. It’s so cozy and warm, and I wear it when I stay in or go to class. It’s a winter must, but it’s actually great for all seasons.

8. Toms Lunata Faux-Leather Ankle Boot

What I love about these boots are that they go great with a nice pair of jeans and a sweater or even a dress (weather permitting). If there isn’t a lot of snow out and you feel like dressing up a bit, these will still cover your feet but add a cute kick to your outfit.

9. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Top Sneaker

If there isn’t much snow, I love wearing these with cute socks (like the marled sock boots I listed above). Nic got me a pair of these last year, and I wear them all the time. They’re great for mild winters like we’re having now (and all seasons, too).

10. Stoneware Designs Lola Hoodie Tryst

I have actually been able to go running outside this winter (YAY), and I love finding different tops I can wear to stay warm (but not get too hot). This hoodie is great because it’s light and you can wear it when you go for a jog outside. Also, I’m a huge fan or brighter colors when I run – win!

I hope some of my style tips gave you some new winter fashion ideas!
