Welcoming April

Happy April, everyone! Does anyone else feel like March went by in the blink of an eye? Nic’s birthday was this last Thursday, and we had a GREAT time celebrating. French silk pie, cheesecake, balloons, dinner, presents, family and friends… we did it all! I’m a big fan of celebrating birthdays for a whole month, and we did just that! The celebrations were wonderful, just like him.

Today I woke up and couldn’t believe it was April. As I was waking up, I heard birds chirping and the sun was peaking through the curtains (really, this is all true). It was beautiful and it felt like spring was showing off its beauty on this first day of the month.

This month, I’m planning on planting a little herb garden on our balcony! I’m looking forward to showing you all how it looks, and sharing tips on planting an herb garden in a small space – anything is possible, people. Stay tuned for more gardening tips and tricks.

April is also the month of my brother and dad’s birthday – which means more celebrating! You can never have too many birthday celebrations. I will be writing a post on gift ideas for men (boyfriend, husband, dad, brothers, friends) that may come in handy if you’re ever stuck and looking for ideas.

Lastly, Easter is approaching! I don’t know about you, but I love Easter. This month, I am planning on baking Ukrainian babka. It is NOT easy to bake, but I am ready for the challenge. Fun fact – for those of you who don’t already know, I am 100% Ukrainian! It will be fun to share the experience with you all. In addition, this month I will share spring decorating tips for your home. There is a lot to look forward to!

That’s it for today. Have a beautiful day and happy April, everyone! Enjoy the day.

♥ Christiana
