I have always been a huge fan of smoothies. Lately, I have been making breakfast smoothies in the morning. I love how quick and tasty they are – especially how great they are when you’re on the go. They’re quick, easy, healthy and delicious. Instead of taking the time to put together your smoothie every morning, I have your answer to a quick breakfast smoothie – preparing them ahead of time for the week ahead! Here is how to prepare breakfast smoothies for your busy week:
What You Will Need:
Fruits (I generally use mango, strawberry, banana and pineapple. When I buy them frozen, I get a bag of each which is always enough. When I buy them fresh, I get a carton of strawberries, one mango, 3-4 bananas and one pineapple It’s up to you how much you want to get of each!)
Honey (I love raw honey, check your local market for some. Besides being tasty, it has many health benefits.)
Vanilla Yogurt
Ziploc Bags
Coconut Milk / Soy Milk (Optional)
Step 1:
Grab a handful of bags and set them aside. These bags are what you are going to use to fill with fruits to freeze.
Step 2:
Get your fruits ready. I usually buy frozen fruits so they are already chopped and ready. I also check the ingredients first to make sure I am just buying fruits, not fruits with added sugars and other ingredients. So, if you’re buying frozen fruit, check the ingredients! If you’re buying fresh fruit, chop them up and set them aside.
Step 3:
Figure out what kind of smoothie flavor you want and have some fun with it! I usually make various combinations with strawberry, banana, pineapple and mango. There are so many possibilities to choose from which makes it fun!
When filling your bags, fill the fruit up just below the top of the bag. This is enough to make your perfect morning smoothie.
Step 4:
Freeze! After you’ve prepared your fruit smoothie bags, zip them up and store them in your freezer.
Step 5:
When you are ready to make your smoothie, simply open the bag and pour it into your blender. Then, add about 3 large spoonfuls of yogurt (you can add as much as you want, but I usually like to add a good amount). Next, add about 2 large tablespoons of honey, or as much as you want. I LOVE honey so I am always on the more generous side when using it. If you want, you can also add a splash of coconut or soy milk for some more taste. After you’ve added your yogurt and honey, you are ready to blend!
It’s as easy as that! You are now prepared for breakfast smoothies for the week ahead. Try to make them on a Sunday evening, so you are starting Monday off with a bang.
If you have any questions, feel free to comment below! When you make your smoothies, let me know what flavors you decide to make! I’d love to hear from you.
Enjoy!

Freezing smoothie ingredients is such a timesaver! I used to avoid making smoothies in the morning because I was too lazy to get up earlier in order to make them lol.
