5 Must Have Back-to-School Essentials

How in the world is it August already? I can’t believe it. Summer is slowly coming to an end. Like I said, I can’t believe it. However, there is still plenty of time to enjoy the summer weather, and that’s just what I plan on doing. Who’s with me?!

Since summer is coming to end, that does mean school is getting closer. Personally, I love getting new school supplies and essentials. This is my last year of graduate school, which means it will be my last first day of school – holy moley. Anyway, I came up with a list of 5 must have school essentials that I use on a daily basis. Whether you’re going back to high school, college, graduate school or whatever… these are for you!

2018 Planner

A 2018 planner = a major necessity. I LOVE Kate Spade Planners. They are my FAVORITE. I used one for my first year of graduate school and it was a life saver. I wrote out my schedule, notes, important dates and everything else in between. I like these planners because nothing gets caught on the binding. Also, they have an elastic band to close it which is also handy to keep papers inside.

Computer Case

My mom bought me a computer case for my Mac a few years ago, and it’s been so useful. It help keeps my computer clean and safe in my backpack or purse. Therefore, it’s no surprise why a computer case is a huge necessity when going back to school. If you don’t have one (even if you’re not in school anymore), I highly recommend investing in one.

Travel Mug

Any other coffee and tea lovers here?! I am a MAJOR coffee addict. I need my coffee every morning. If I don’t, I get a headache among other things – moral of the story, I need coffee. I have many travel mugs and have learned over the years that I love the ones the snap or slide shut. I’ve dropped my coffee mug on the floor of the car one too many times, so I know that a proper lid is crucial.

Water Bottle

I have to say, I’ve been very proud of myself for drinking a lot more water than I usually do. Although, if I don’t drink enough water, I get incredibly dizzy, so really, drinking more water is necessity. But I’ll still give myself a pat on the back. ANYWAY, I’ve found that buying a nice (dishwasher safe) plastic water bottle is a great way to stay hydrated. I use mine everyday and love it. When looking for one, I always make sure it’s dishwasher safe – always a must in my book.

Backpack

A good, comfortable and sturdy backpack is a MUST. I’ve had mine since freshman year of high school (I think), so it’s been a good 9 nine years and it’s still going strong. A quality backpack is important and definitely an important part of going back to school. The backpack below is very similar to mine, and I have to say, I couldn’t be happier with it.
