Hi, everyone and Happy Labor Day! It is has been way too long since I last blogged, and I feel terrible about it. I have so many blogs in the works, I just feel like I haven’t had the time to finish them. So, my wonderful followers, I wanted to give you an update to let you know I’m still here. So, what have I been up to since my last post? A lot. Here’s a little roundup.
Well, one BIG thing, is that I started my LAST year of graduate school! What?! Yes, that’s right. My last year. Homework is already piling up, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t enjoying the assignments. My classes are all about areas I love and am interested in, and I’m so happy about that. I have also already started working on my final masters project. I can’t even believe I’m saying that. I know that in the blink of an eye, I will be graduating. Speaking of grad school, I’ve been already getting a lot of use out of my 2018 Kate Spade planner. This one even came with stickers! Simple joys. 🙂
Before school started and when I wasn’t working, I was indulging in some good reads! Don’t you just love a good book?! I saw Bridges Over Madison County with my mom a few weeks ago, and fell in love with the musical. I swear, right after we left, I went onto Amazon and ordered the book and the prequel to it. I also read The Light We Lost. It was an interesting read. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it. Would I read it again? I don’t think so. Am I happy I read it? Yes. It was a very good book, just not one of my favorites.
Nic and I have been keeping up with running and we have been feeling so good! I have to say, I’m proud that we’ve been keeping up with a consistent schedule. It feels good to take care of yourself! I have a blog that will be posted this week about running tips, and I think you will all really enjoy that. My brother gave me a Fitbit Alta the other day, and I’m so excited to start using it with our workouts! I’m a huge Fitbit fan. Nic and I also got all dressed up for an event for his dad yesterday, and we had a great time! It was a nice break from the constant studying I was doing – and from your busy weekly schedules in general. And, it’s fun to get all dressed up sometimes.
Also… WHO ELSE IS SO EXCITED FOR FALL?! I am. SO EXCITED. My fall clothes are ready, I am working on my fall bucket list, I have fall recipes, fall decorations…. you name it. Something about the fall is so magical and I just love the feeling it gives you. The crisp fall air, the beautiful colors of the leaves, the smell, the food, pumpkin patches…. I can’t wait. Get ready for MANY fall posts this year. They’re coming your way!
That’s it for now. Once I get back into my groove with this busy year, I will be back to posting one to two times a week. As always, thank you for reading.
Talk soon!
