My Rainy Day Essentials

Rain, rain, go away. Or… let’s embrace it! I don’t know how the weather has been by you, but it’s been pretty rainy here. I don’t mind the rain here and there, and I actually find it soothing. It’s nice to cozy up in a warm sweater and listen to some Frank Sinatra while watching the rain fall outside. So, it’s no surprise that I have put together a blog with some of my rainy day essentials.

Fringe Studio Journal – Who doesn’t love to journal on a rainy day? I love to journal and blog, especially when it’s raining outside. There’s just something about it that I love. So, it’s no surprise why it’s one of my essentials.

Hawkwood Mint Leaf & Eucalyptus – I LOVE mint and eucalyptus, and having them both in a candle is even better. I’ve always found them so calming and the aroma always relaxes me. For a rainy day, you want a candle that will relax you and keep you mellow for the day. Also, this candle is made from a wine bottle – how cool!

Coffee Mug – Well, coffee is obviously a must. Coffee is a necessity everyday, but especially on a rainy day. A cute coffee mug for your cup of joe or cup of tea is an essential, especially when you’re cozying up in a blanket.

Popcorn Knit Throw Blanket – To go along with journaling and your cup of coffee, you obviously need a comfy blanket. Cuddling up with a cozy blanket on the couch with coffee and a good book on a rainy day is easily one of my favorite rainy day activities.

Keds Slippers – I mean, if you’re going for comfy, slippers are a must. I love my slippers and I love using them on a rainy, dreary day. They’ve always been part of my rainy day routine.

Slipper Socks – To go along with those warm slippers, you need some comfortable socks. I’m actually wearing a a pair of socks like these as I write this, and it’s raining out, so there ya go.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven – Have any of you read this before? If not, read it. I absolutely love this book. I read it back in high school and I couldn’t put it down. I’ve read it at least 4 times, and I can tell you that I will read it again, and again. If you’re looking for a good book for a rainy day, I highly recommend it.

I hope my rainy day essentials have prepared you for your next rainy day at home. There’s nothing like being cozy.
