Hi, everyone! Happy Fall and Happy October! The crisp fall air has already filled my heart with happiness, the beautiful colors of the leaves have left me speechless and the fall activities I’ve taken part in are already ones for the books. Ah fall, how I love you!
Fit ‘n Classy, a fellow blogger, tagged me in her last Fall Tag blog post that was initially created by Ell Duclos, and I was more than excited to take part in it! Thanks for thinking of me, Anna! (Also, definitely go check out her blog, too!)
So… what is the Fall Tag? The Fall Tag is a list of questions for you to answer! In this case, it’s all about fall. You take the prewritten questions you were tagged in and answer them in a new post on your blog! Then, after your questions, you tag 5 (or how ever many you want) bloggers and encourage them to take part! Fun, right?! Here we go!
What is one candle you MUST light every fall?
My go-to favorite candle that I light every fall is anything with the Macintosh Apple scent. I love the Macintosh candle by Yankee candle. I always buy a big one and burn it every year. It’s the perfect smell for fall.
I think of crisp fall air, cool walks, crunchy leaves, beautiful colors, pumpkin picking/carving, caramel apples and fun traditions. Fall simply makes me so happy and giddy inside.
What is your all time favorite fall/Halloween movie?
I’d have to say both Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown. Hocus Pocus is a true classic. We watch it at LEAST 5 times in October (minimum) and seriously never get sick of it. I also never get sick of Winifred’s kick butt version of I Put A Spell On You. Anyone else feel like dancing when they listen to it and watch that scene?! I TOTALLY do. Tied with Hocus Pocus is Halloweentown. Growing up, Halloweentown was my favorite movie and I always dreamt of visiting it one day.
I’d have to say Monsters Inc. Our nephew is turning one this month, and his party is Monsters Inc. themed, so that’s where my Halloween costume mind is at!
What is your favorite fall trend?
This is a hard one… because I can’t just pick one. Plaid and scarves are always in style and will always be one of my favorite fall trends. I mean, they just scream fall and are truly a staple. But, I recently became obsessed with Over The Knee boots. I just bought a pair from Circus by Sam Edelman and I. LOVE. THEM. So they are my newest favorite fall trend… and I mean they go perfectly with plaid and a cute scarf. 🙂
The Caramel Apple Spice Cider at Starbucks… or a Pumpkin Spice Soy Chai! Those are my two favorites, but the Caramel Apple Spice Cider is definitely my favorite. I also love drinking apple cider during fall, both warm and cold. BUT. I also love my Maple Bourbon coffee. The list can go on and on.
What is your go to fall beauty product? A must have staple?
I don’t have any products that are fall based… but I have started using Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue and I love it. It also has SPF 30 in it, which is great. Gotta protect our skin all year long!
Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?
This is hard. I love both. I’m going to have to say during October I would pick Apple Pie (with cinnamon) and Pumpkin Pie in November.
Do you have any fall traditions? If so tell us all about it!
YES! Every year, we go to Pumpkin Patch, which is a festival in Door County. It’s one of my favorites. They have all the fall staples there – caramel apples, sangria, pumpkin displays… you name it. Nic and I also started a new tradition about 4 years ago (and I really don’t know how we thought of it). So 4 years ago, we thought it would be funny to bring home a huge pumpkin to my mom and see what she said. She laughed and thought it was funny. So naturally, every year, we go to the farm stand near their house and buy a pumpkin that is bigger each year. Well, this year, we really took it to a new level and bought one that was 30 pounds… we needed a wheelbarrow to get it out of the car. It was hilarious. That has definitely become one of my favorite traditions. In addition to that, we also love to carve pumpkins.
The moment of truth, is fall your favorite season?
It is DEFINITELY up there. This is a tough question though, because I love all the seasons (cliche, I know). However, you all know Christmas is my #1 favorite. I mean, I love everything about Christmas and pretty much prepare for it year round. BUT, I also love everything about fall. So, let’s just say it’s up there for my favorite.
I loved being part of this Fall Tag and I had a lot of fun coming up with these answers! Below are the 5 bloggers I will choose to participate in it, too! (If you want to participate in this too and don’t get tagged, you can totally still do it!)
