• Friday Favorites – July 24, 2020

Happy Friday, friends! I am back on the blogging train, and am bringing back Friday Favorites! Every Friday, I will highlight some of my favorite things from the week…. books, food, movies, quotes, thoughts… who knows! The possibilities are endless. The Country Ok, the country is my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, the city is beautiful too, but there is something about the country you can’t beat. The starry night skies, the birds chirping, the quiet morning and evening walks, sunsets over the lake, full trees blowing in the wind, familiar faces… the country is full simple joys around every corner, and it makes my heart so happy.    …

  • Christmas in July – Greetings Cards You Need to See

Merry Christmas in July! Cue the Christmas music! It’s no secret that I love Christmas, which means I’m a huge fan of Christmas in July. Hallmark Christmas movies have been continuously playing in the background, and let me tell ya, I’m not complaining. I celebrate this holiday year long in some way, whether it’s playing an occasional Christmas movie every few weeks, jamming out to Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You or keeping a little snowman on our bookshelf. I love to keep the Christmas spirit alive all year. I’m really excited to have partnered with Basic Invite and share some of their beautiful greetings cards in…

  • Whitening Sensitive Teeth at Home

Hey, everyone! I hope 2020 has been treating you well. I am starting off the year off as a married woman, and I am LOVING every single minute of it! Seriously it is the best. And I have SO many exciting blogs in the works, I can’t wait to keep sharing them with you! Recently, I was sent Smile Brilliant to test and honestly review, and I was beyond excited to give it a try. I’ve always had sensitive teeth and sure do love my coffee, so when I found out these products are incredibly conscious towards sensitive teeth, I knew this would be the right fit for me. Seriously,…

  • The 10-10-10 Rule For Stress You NEED To Know

Hey, everyone. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I’ll overthink little situations and get stressed over things I shouldn’t stress about. I  will realize this a few hours or days after I get stressed, and try to tell myself not to worry so much in the moment next time. This is where the 10-10-10 rules comes into play. I get Daily Shine texts as I mentioned in a previous blog, and I got one a few days ago that REALLY stood out to me. It started off by saying this: “A new study shows when we *think* we’ll be stressed (ex. those mid-commute worries) the floodgates open for stress,…

  • Casually Christiana Book Club – July Selection

The exciting news is HERE – Casually Christiana is launching a BOOK CLUB! That’s right! Once a month, I will choose a book for us to read and share some prompts on my blog to think about along the way. And if you don’t finish the book by the end of the month – that’s ok! You’re still welcome to join in on discussions and see what others are saying. For July, the book I have chosen is All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin. I’ve mentioned Giffin on my blog before, and that’s because she is one of my favorite authors. I LOVED Something Borrowed, along with all of…

  • Life Update & July Preview

It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged, and I really REALLY don’t like that. Since I finished graduate school, there have been a number of changes (all good) and it’s just taking some time to get used to my new schedule and routine. I’m sure you all can relate to that. I’m not going to lie, I am not and have never been a fan of change. However, change is good and we all have to embrace it instead of fear it. Now that I finished grad school, I am working at a marketing/ad agency as a content & social media strategist and I am absolutely loving it. It’s a new…

  • Sweet Liberty Sailing Cruise – Naples, FL

A few weeks ago, Nic and I went to Florida for my last spring break. We had an absolutely amazing time, and loved soaking in every minute of that beautiful Florida sun. While we were on our trip, we really wanted to go sailing. We both love boating, so it really was no surprise we wanted to spend some time on the water. So, we looked up sailing cruises and came across Sweet Liberty in Naples. Let me tell ya, it was amazing. When we found Sweet Liberty, we read about the Beach Island Shelling Cruise and thought it would be perfect for us. It was a three hour cruise…

  • Goals, Gratitude and Grad School

HI! Wow. It’s been over a month. I’ve kind of gone into hermit mode, but that’s because I was feverishly working on my Master’s Project… which I am happy to say I officially handed in yesterday! WOOOHOOO! I started my project in May of 2017. My project was a 244 page content marketing strategy eBook for a fellowship I have been working at during grad school, and to say I’m proud of it is a major understatement. The process of working on my Master’s Project really showed me that anything is possible when you give it your all. Throughout the process, I cried many times, had many knots in my…
