Hey, everyone! How’s your day going? I hope your week is going well so far and you’re enjoying that lovely sunshine outside. The first month of Casually Christiana Book Club is done and we’re onto the next month! WOW. It’s a little scary how fast the time is going. BUT, I am so excited to share my latest #ccbookclub selection with you all! For August, I have chosen The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. I’ve never read anything by Paula McLain before, so I am incredibly excited to read this book. If you’re anything like me, you LOVE the 1920’s, Paris and Jazz. This books takes readers to this era…

  • All We Ever Wanted – Casually Christiana Book Club Review

Hi everyone! It’s the end of the month (how is that even possible), but I’m excited to share my thoughts from the #ccbookclub selection for July! July’s pick was All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed with it. As I mentioned in Casually Christiana Book Club – July Selection, I’m a big Giffin fan. However, this book was very different from her other ones. Below, I answered 5 of the 8 questions to the initial prompts I wrote before reading the book.   *THERE WILL BE SPOILERS BELOW*   What do you think of Emily Giffin and her writing? I really like her writing. I…

  • Casually Christiana Book Club – July Selection

The exciting news is HERE – Casually Christiana is launching a BOOK CLUB! That’s right! Once a month, I will choose a book for us to read and share some prompts on my blog to think about along the way. And if you don’t finish the book by the end of the month – that’s ok! You’re still welcome to join in on discussions and see what others are saying. For July, the book I have chosen is All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin. I’ve mentioned Giffin on my blog before, and that’s because she is one of my favorite authors. I LOVED Something Borrowed, along with all of…

  • Life Update & July Preview

It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged, and I really REALLY don’t like that. Since I finished graduate school, there have been a number of changes (all good) and it’s just taking some time to get used to my new schedule and routine. I’m sure you all can relate to that. I’m not going to lie, I am not and have never been a fan of change. However, change is good and we all have to embrace it instead of fear it. Now that I finished grad school, I am working at a marketing/ad agency as a content & social media strategist and I am absolutely loving it. It’s a new…

  • Sweet Liberty Sailing Cruise – Naples, FL

A few weeks ago, Nic and I went to Florida for my last spring break. We had an absolutely amazing time, and loved soaking in every minute of that beautiful Florida sun. While we were on our trip, we really wanted to go sailing. We both love boating, so it really was no surprise we wanted to spend some time on the water. So, we looked up sailing cruises and came across Sweet Liberty in Naples. Let me tell ya, it was amazing. When we found Sweet Liberty, we read about the Beach Island Shelling Cruise and thought it would be perfect for us. It was a three hour cruise…

  • Goals, Gratitude and Grad School

HI! Wow. It’s been over a month. I’ve kind of gone into hermit mode, but that’s because I was feverishly working on my Master’s Project… which I am happy to say I officially handed in yesterday! WOOOHOOO! I started my project in May of 2017. My project was a 244 page content marketing strategy eBook for a fellowship I have been working at during grad school, and to say I’m proud of it is a major understatement. The process of working on my Master’s Project really showed me that anything is possible when you give it your all. Throughout the process, I cried many times, had many knots in my…

  • Worrying Less = A Better You

Have any of you heard about Daily Shine Texts? About a week ago, one of my best friends Molly (hey Molly) told me about it. It’s a site where you can sign up to get texts at a specific time with motivational quotes, ideas and actions to take to make yourself be as positive as you can be and the best version of yourself. Anyway, today, I received one that really resonated with me. The exact words were: “TGIF, Christiana! Each year, we spend the equivalent of *2 months* worrying. This weekend, ease up on predicting the future.” Did anyone else read this and just go, wow? I did. I…

  • My Rainy Day Essentials

Rain, rain, go away. Or… let’s embrace it! I don’t know how the weather has been by you, but it’s been pretty rainy here. I don’t mind the rain here and there, and I actually find it soothing. It’s nice to cozy up in a warm sweater and listen to some Frank Sinatra while watching the rain fall outside. So, it’s no surprise that I have put together a blog with some of my rainy day essentials. Fringe Studio Journal – Who doesn’t love to journal on a rainy day? I love to journal and blog, especially when it’s raining outside. There’s just something about it that I love. So, it’s…
