5 Ways To Stay Organized In 2019

Going into the new year always feels like a blank slate. You feel fresh and ready to crush the goals you’ve set for yourself. I’ve gone into the beginning on 2019 feeling more organized than ever, and I’m here to share some of my tips with you!  1. Clean Before Sleep This is a MUST. Every night before bed, no matter how tired I am, I always clean up and put things away. Nic and I never leave the dishes dirty and make it a point to put everything away after dinner. Not only that, but I make sure there aren’t any clothes on the floor or little items out…

  • Staying Calm and Organized

Happy Saturday, everyday! With my busy schedule, I have been learning and developing new techniques and methods to stay calm and organized (two very important things in life). So, I thought I’d share some tips with you that have been working for  me. Planner I don’t know what I would do without my planner (mine shown in this blog is Kate Spade and I got it at Barnes & Noble in 2016 for a great price). I bring it with me everywhere. This is one MAJOR way I am able to stay organized. Whenever I have an assignment due, a meeting planned or a date I need to remember, I immediately write it down in…

  • More Than Just A Race

I did it. I completed the Chicago Half Marathon, my first half marathon on September 25th. Words cannot describe how I feel about achieving this MAJOR goal of mine. However, it wasn’t what I had expected, and that’s what made it so important and memorable. This half marathon was more than just a run. When I woke up at 4:00A.M. on Sunday, my stomach was in knots. I was so excited (and nervous) that it was the day I had been waiting and training for. I had hurt my knee a month ago while training, and in the back of my mind, I worried it would begin to throb during the half marathon.…

  • Getting Ready To Race

Happy Friday! Instead of the usual Friday Favorites, I wanted to focus on getting ready for my half marathon THIS SUNDAY. This Sunday? YES. This Sunday! I love that I have been able to share my training and journey with you all. So, this Sunday is race day! As you all know, I have been training for months. A few weeks ago when I ran 11.54 miles, my knees were in terrible pain the next day. I could hardly walk! So, I took a week and half break from running. Then, after I wrote Rainy Day Runs, my knee began to hurt again. I got really worried that something was wrong. So, I took…

  • Friday Favorites

Happy (end of the day) Friday, everyone! Today was such a full day and I didn’t have time to write my weekly Friday Favorites blog in the morning. However, that is no excuse! I could not leave you all without my weekly blog. Here are my (late) Friday Favorites! 11.54 Ok, I have to brag because you all know how much I love running. You all also know how my training has been all over the place lately. As you read yesterday, I wanted to run 9 miles to train for my half marathon. Well, today I ended up running 11.54 miles. THAT’S RIGHT! I was so beyond proud of myself because…

  • Hello, August!

How is it AUGUST already? You may have heard many people complain about August, calling it the “Sunday” of summer. Although August does signify summer is slowly coming to an end… don’t let that ruin your day, or month! It’s still summer and you should still enjoy the day! Here are a few ways to make the start of the month great! To Do List Check off items on your summer to do list! What do you want to do before summer ends? As I mentioned in my blog Fourth In Fontana,  do what you want to do even if you feel like you don’t have time in your busy schedule. Go…

  • Goodbye Monday Blues

I never liked how people would start off Monday’s on a negative note. Yes, the weekend just ended and reality strikes yet again. But why should that be bad? I think Monday should have a positive meaning attached to it, which is why I say goodbye to those blues! I start my Monday off with a cup of coffee (lots of coffee) and a mental list of goals and fun things I want to accomplish and do for the week. Below are 3 goals that I have set for myself this week! 1. Drink coffee on the balcony So simple, right? I hardly ever use my balcony in my apartment and it’s…
