• Nic and I: Our 5 Favorite Traits About Each Other

To start off this blog, I have some exciting blog news. This is the start of a new series on Casually Christiana called Nic and I. Similar to previous blogs I’ve done with Nic, this series will be focused on blogs we do together. They will range from tips, advice, stories, memories and everything in between. I’m so excited to be starting off this new series with today’s blog, which is Nic and I talking about our favorite traits about each other. First, I’ll name my five favorite traits about Nic, then elaborate on them a little bit. Then, Nic will write down his favorite traits about me and elaborate…

  • Why I Love Valentine’s Day

Hi everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged – I’ve been so busy! School is super hectic, and graduation is only a few months away. Where has the time gone? Last week was a little nuts – long story short, don’t drink ANYTHING near your computer. Ever. That’s all I’m going to say about that. Anyway, this Wednesday is Valentine’s Day! I know there are many people who look at this holiday and think it’s silly and pointless, but I’m definitely NOT one of those people. I love everything about Valentine’s Day. I love that it’s a day celebrating love, commitment and overall joy. I love that it’s a day…

  • Sunday Scaries

Sunday scares are a real thing, no doubt about it. I can tell you that for a fact because I’ve experienced them before, and I’m experiencing them today. For those of you who don’t know what the Sunday scaries are, they’re basically a feeling of nervousness that sets in before you start the week ahead. This week, I start my last semester of graduate school. Although I’ve been excited about this up until this point, the reality of it is really setting in (particularly today). This is my last semester as a student – no more breaks, varied schedules, homework, grades and so on. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very…

  • Three Things You NEED To Remember During the Holidays

Christmas is only a few days away and I can’t believe it. Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I would keep our Christmas tree up all year if I could (not kidding). I love everything about Christmas time, from the decorations, to the traditions, to seeing loved ones and the warm feeling that fills the air. It’s easy to get caught up in the hectic nature of the holidays. Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts, getting those great sale items and so on. I get it, we’ve all been there. Heck, last week, a lady rammed her shopping cart into me on purpose because I wasn’t moving quick enough for her –…

  • The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hi, everyone! How was your Thanksgiving? It’s been about two weeks since I last posted – which is too long, I know. I’m finishing up my second to last semester of graduate school, and to say I’m excited is an understatement. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’ve enjoyed every second of it. To think I’ll be graduating in May is wild! Where has the time gone? Well, it’s officially the most wonderful time of the year (are you singing that when you read it?). December is only a FEW DAYS AWAY and I am SO READY FOR CHRISTMAS. As you all know, it is my favorite time of the…

  • November Update

Hey everyone! Happy November! Can you believe it’s November? I love it. Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted. Graduate school has been SO busy, but I graduate in May! Woohoo! I can’t believe it. As many of you know, I am a Christmas fanatic (that may even be an understatement). I love everything about it. Last week, I saw the big Christmas tree being set up near City Hall, and I felt merry and jolly already (the photo is below)! Don’t worry – there will be many Christmas and holiday posts to come soon. 🙂 Anyway, I wanted to give you all a little preview about some upcoming blogs…

  • Knowing Your Worth + Speaking Up

Blogging has taught me many things – two of those things being knowing your worth and speaking up for yourself. Many times, we don’t speak up for ourselves or speak up for what we know we deserve. Recently, I had a blogging experience with a brand that opened my eyes to knowing my worth and speaking up for what I believe in (especially with blogging). I will not name the brand, but to put it lightly, they took advantage of me and my work. They wanted me to talk about about their new collection and I agreed, because experience is a good thing to have. However, after I posted my…

  • 10 Simple and Easy Ways to Spread Kindness

Today, I want to focus on something I find very important  – kindness. It’s so simple, yet so powerful. I’ve talked about the importance of kindness plenty of times on my blog, but today, I want to focus on ways we can spread kindness. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE hearing about random acts of kindness. The other day, I read this sweet story about an older man that was handing out free flowers at a farmers market, with the hope that it would bring others joy. I mean, how sweet is that?! Doesn’t that just melt your heart? With that being said, here are 10 simple and…
